We were commissioned by a collector in Tribeca, Manhattan, to restore a significant 1930s semi-antique Persian Abadeh rug. This specific piece featured the intricate Zili Sultan “vase and peacock” design, which had suffered structural compromise and significant foundation wear over its nearly century-long lifespan.

The Process

Structural Assessment & Mapping: We analyzed the knot density and warp/weft tension to match the original Abadeh construction.
